Housing within Reach
Hope VI Program
The Hope VI Program, formerly called the Urban Revitalization Demonstration (URD), has undertaken a National Action Plan to transform severely distressed public housing.
This is accomplished by
- rebuilding public housing
- enhancing residents' self-sufficiency
- lowering the concentration of poverty by promoting integration of mixed-income communities
- networking with various economic and other entities to obtain support and resources.
Hope VI encompasses two different grants:
- Hope VI Revitalization grants
- Hope VI Demolition grants
Hope VI funds may be obtained by applying through each fiscal year's Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA). Click here for more information about Hope VI.
