National Association of Peer Specialists

"We believe peer specialists offer an often untapped resource
to the mental health system. As a national organization,
we strive to make peer specialists an important component
in mental health treatment."

The National Association of Peer Specialists (NAPS) seeks to increase the popularity of hiring peer specialists. Its mission is to further promote the interests of NAPS and its members to the community. NAPS' members subscribe to the National Association of Social Workers' Code of Ethics. This code lays out the rules for interactions with clients and is critical in defining the roles between mental health professionals and their clients.
